As announced at the Presentation Night we are delighted to have new sponsorship with
New Forest Care. They are sponsoring all our teams across the age groups from under 7s upwards.
They have been invloved at the club for a little while and have put in a huge amount of help (not just financial).

At the dreadfully sad news that Dylan Vanhear passed away this week, we at HDYFC pass on our heartfelt
wishes to his family, friends and team mates. It was an honour to have been able to help out in a small way
and to have seen first hand his & your courage and strength through such times.

Our First ever Futsal Festival was held for new under 7s teams this weekend. With any entry of 12 teams, debuts
for our own Predators, Warriors & Sonics, an amazing standard & great atmosphere we hope this is just the
start of similar future events.

As announced at the Presentation Night we are delighted to have new sponsorship with
New Forest Care. They are sponsoring all our teams across the age groups from under 7s upwards.
They have been invloved at the club for a little while and have put in a huge amount of help (not just financial).

Here is a statement from their Director, Rich White.

"At New Forest Care we believe that the children and young people in our care have a right to have the very
same things which we would demand for our own children. A good education to equip them for the future,
a positive sense of self-worth and confidence, be morally responsible, show the ability to integrate socially within
the community, have good resilience and a sense of mastery, be in good physical and mental health, have the opportunity to play,
learn and have fun, to feel valued and loved, to develop self-discipline, and to discover the
ability to visualise a new positive life, both during their time in our care and for their lives following this

We care passionately about the health, welfare and education of all the young people placed with us. We all
work hard to reduce any inequalities that they may encounter through our practice. We also care passionately
about the health, welfare and education of all of our staff. We believe that staff are our best resource and invest heavily in both support and
training to further their individual professional practice and ensure their welfare.
We are committed to working in partnership with young people, parent(s) /carer(s), staff and other professionals
to offer a safe and appropriate environment for the young people that we care for

We have chosen to sponsor Hythe and Dibden Youth Football club, as we have seen firsthand the commitment
and energy delivered to local kids in our community. The club ethos is sound and mirrors what New Forest Care stands for. Hythe and Dibden
Youth football is not just about progressing as a footballer, it plays a bigger role in building self esteem, promoting self discipline,
team work, promoting commitment, providing positive physical activity and bringing a community together for children and adults alike."

Presentaion night is always a fantastic evening for players, parents & managers and this year it was even

Dylan Vanhear was a very healthy 11 year old until May 2015 when he limped into hospital with what was thought to be a football injury.
A hospital referral was made by Dylan’s GP after a number of treatments failed to resolve a number of possible diagnosis.
Shortly after the doctors sadly found tumours which were removed from Dylan’s spinal cord during a gruelling 7 and half hour operation

During Dylan's stay in hospital (currently at 293 days) Dylan found very little to do and recognised that a number of wards and sections
within Southampton General Hospital require further funding to assist children and young adults who are in similar situations that require equipment to assist with ongoing recoveries. These include the therapy and play specialists departments. A number of fundraising
events have been carried out during Dylan’s stay in hospital which has raised in excess of £9,000 The aim is to raise as much as we
possibly can for this brave and thoughtful young man

Hythe and Dibden Tigers and Oakwood Dynamos will take part in a 12 Hour 5 a side football match, you might think this task is straight forward for lads who like to play football, but 12 hours is a very long time considering their age. There will be various other things going
on throughout the day which will be announced closer to the time. Please, please, please sponsor as much as you can for this worthy cause

HDYFC Play touring team...

The (u13) Neons played Carlsbad United FC from San Diego, California at Staplewood....

On Saturday 18th July, the curtain came down on the Hythe and Didben Rockets' under 7s season, with one of the 3 competitive
tournaments allowed annually under FA mini soccer guidelines. The tournament was run on a league basis, with the winner being crowned champions. The Rockets were one of 6 teams entered to the under 7s section. Although not being able to replicate the awe inspiring passing
football of the previous week, the boys worked incredibly hard, focusing on the 3 key targets: to be goal side and to pressure the ball when
out of possession, to return the ball into play within 4 seconds of it crossing the touchline, and when in possession to make supporting runs into space. Their team work and spirit meant they finished the day with very impressive stats: Played 5, Won 5, Goals For 7, Goals Against 1

Fantastic day for Hythe and Dibden u8 teams at Marchwood tournament this morning, with both Storm and Thunder doing the
club proud, and getting to the final. A tight affair, both teams playing great football, and testing each other to the limit, with
Thunder eventually winning on penalties, their first tournament win.... Well done to both teams

(under 8 Storm)

The under 9 squad had great day at Fawley Falcons Tournament
A special mention to our new team in this age group, H&D Wildfire who played together for the first time & did brilliantly

HDYFC supporting the senior Hythe & Dibden Team at Clayfields...

A great evening saw the official opening of Hythe & Dibden Seniors Clayfields Ground with H&D taking on Fawley Falcons.
The ground has seen a huge investment in improving facilities funded by the Football Stadia Improvement Fund which in turn is
funded by the BPL
. A keen group of youth players turned out as mascots for (both) senior sides. The evening also saw the draw
for the SO45 lottery the proceeds from which was shared between the H&D & Fawley Falcons Youth Clubs
.... so a great big thank you to all involved.

the draw will take place on 31st July at Clayfields at the official opening of the site when Fawley and Hythe senior sides play.

H&D teams at Fawley Falcons Tournament

The Rockets enjoy a day out in Fawley. The Rockets took part in the under 8s section of the Fawley Falcons tournament, playing
4 games in a non-competitive league format. They put in some fantastic performances across all 4 games, scoring loads of goals
& at times were unplayable passing the ball with purpose around the opposition.....
One more tournament to play in before they embark on a well earned rest over the summer.

After another fabulous season for Hythe and Dibden Thunder (under 8s), the team has been awarded the Eastleigh and District Mini
Soccer League Fair Play Award for 2014/15. A fantastic achievement as it is the second season running that we have won this award.

Hurricanes (u10) & Cyclones (u9) both won the sub cup in their age groups... well done lads.

HDYFC well represented at BTC Tournament...
Under 7s, Under 9s & under 10s all played this weekend

We are very proud to announce that HDYFC is now an F.A Charter Standard Club....

The FA Charter Standard programme is a kitemark, which recognises and rewards high quality levels of
provision in club and league football. The kitemark is awarded to clubs and leagues that are well run,
sustainable, which place child protection, quality coaching and safety paramount.
The kitemark is a major focus of The FA’s £200 million FA National Game Strategy and has improved coaching, the
number of girls’ football teams and safeguarding children. Once awarded, FA Charter Standard clubs and leagues
are given an annual health check to ensure the standards of provision are maintained. Criteria for achieving the entry
level award include having a trained Welfare Officer, CRB checks for all volunteers, Emergency Aid-trained
volunteers linked to each team, Respect programme sign-up, a Level One coach for each youth team, appropriate
club administration in place and a volunteer co-ordinator. ...

Read more at the FA website here........................

This is a big step forward for our club & is the the result of much hard work by many but special recognition must go
to our Chairman Phil Swainston for his tireless efforts to meet the necessary criteria to achieve this.

A special well done to the Vikings who today won their age group at the Fawley Falcons Tournament.
It is their first silverwear and just rewards for much hard work from the lads & the management....

The Under 8 Hazards & Cyclones (above) also had a fine day out at fawley Falcon's Tournament along with the 3
new Hythe and Dibden Under 7 teams, The Rockets, The Avengers & The Galaxy, they were all brilliant - some
great goals, superb saves and terrific tackles. Great to see the teams doing so well and having so much fun.

PHOENIX U-13 Runners Up ...
The Phoenix entered two teams in the St Francis Tournament held on Saturday 11th May at Mountbatten
School Romsey, The Flames and The Ashes. Both Teams were on a high coming into this Tournament
following their good performances at the Hythe & Dibden Tournament, Sub Cup Winners & Main Cup
Semi-finalist. On this occasion the Ashes were unfortunate not to make it out of the group stages but the
Flames won their group with three wins and a draw without conceding a single goal. The Flames faced Pace
F.C. in the final and eventually lost 4-1. They put in a fantastic performance against a very good Division 1 side
that also had not conceded a single goal until the final. A great performance by all and without doubt an
outstanding performance by our man of the Tournament Ewan Picton.
(thanks to Dave Macklin for the report)

Well done lads...keeping the HDYFC flag flying high...

HDYFC are promoting the FA campaign Respect the Referee
- being highlighted over the weekend of 29/ 30 March 2014. The aim of the awareness weekend is to promote Respect and Fair Play on and off the field of
play especially towards the Referees who we should all regard to be a very important part of grassroots football....
No Referee... No Game....

We all need to work together to promote good behaviour especially on the touchlines and the more awareness the stronger the message.
The theme this year for the DXTL (Don't Cross The Line)
awareness weekend is to promote ReFspect. Hampshire FA ask you to add your support to promote
the Don't X The Line ReFspect awareness weekend, by asking all Clubs to participate and get
involved by talking to committees, parents, & managers about the weekend to promote on and off the
field that No Aggression is acceptable and No Verbal Abuse is necessary, whilst pre match handshakes
and vocal support from the side lines are very much encouraged...

I think they show just how much the boys enjoyed it.

On the10th November two Hythe and Dibden teams, the Earthquakes and the Hurricanes took part in an under nines tournament at Stoneham park Eastleigh.
The weather the night before was very wet which made the pitches very hard to play on but both teams did very well. Even with both teams only letting three goals between
them it was not enough to stop Colden Common winning the day. The tournament was held to raise money for Wessex heart foundation so a very well done to Bob Galpin
of the Eastleigh FA for organising such a well run event.
