Hythe & Dibden YFC are a progressive youth football club with a firm focus on the development of each individual player over results. We believe youth football is not just about enjoying the game and improving as a footballer, it plays a bigger role in building self esteem, promoting self discipline, team work, encouraging commitment, providing a positive physical activity and bringing a community together for children and adults alike.
We’re incredibly proud to be recognised by Hampshire FA as Grassroots Club of the Year, twice! A huge achievement and confirmation that everyone involved in the club is doing fantastic job, from the team of volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes, to the players and their parents who conduct themselves impeccably. Well done all!
A child at Hythe & Dibden YFC can expect to make new friends, have fun and develop as a person and a footballer. Over the last few years we’ve been able to maximise these vital values by introducing a soft tiering structure within age groups.
Football is now the top participation sport for women and girls in England, and at Hythe & Dibden YFC we are making sure this trend is continuing to grow in our region. We’ve put a strong emphasis on girls participation and in the last 5 years we’ve seen a huge increase in female membership.
Renowned in the area as one of the best tournaments around, our flagship annual event returns this May with another great festival of football for children between u7 -u13 age groups. Over 1000 children, 120 teams, six pitches, two days and one amazing tournament.
